The Opportunity

We're looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Gigi's Restaurant.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and leadership team, you'll oversee weekend breakfast, dinner seven nights a week, seasonal events and functions whilst helping shape the next chapter of Gigi's.

This is more than a kitchen leadership role.



It's an opportunity to join a dedicated and passionate team, mentor talented people and create the kind of restaurant locals recommend first and visitors return to every time they're in Mudgee.

About You

You're an experienced Head Chef who understands that great hospitality starts behind the scenes. You genuinely enjoy looking after people, love building teams and helping others grow. You lead with calm, consistency and humility. You're excited by the prospect to make your mark, shape the next chapter of Gigi's and build something you're proud to put your name to.

You'll also bring:

- Previous experience leading a successful restaurant or kitchen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with menu development and seasonal planning
- A strong commercial mindset, with exceptional financial and operational management skills
- Confidence leading breakfast and dinner service
- A collaborative approach and a long-term mindset

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all kitchen operations at Gigi's Restaurant
- Deliver exceptional quality and consistency across every service
- Develop seasonal menus and special event offerings
- Recruit, mentor and inspire a high-performing kitchen team




- Drive strong commercial performance through effective labour management, food cost control, purchasing and inventory management
- Build strong relationships with local suppliers and producers
- Contribute as part of the wider leadership team, helping shape experiences that connect Gigi's, The Clairfield and Jila into one seamless guest journey.
