About the Role As a family-owned and operated business for over 20 years, Web and Warehouse is a leading provider of top-tier outdoor play equipment and the ultimate bouncing experience. Operating alongside our sister business, Hobbies Direct, we operate out of a shared, collaborative facility in Breakwater.

Join our friendly customer service team during our peak season. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Retail Customer Service Assistant to help customers with trampoline and play equipment enquiries, process sales, support order updates, and assist with basic day-to-day store and warehouse tasks. You will receive training and work closely with experienced team members, with opportunities to learn about Hobbies Direct products where needed. Self obligation.

This is a 100% on-site, temporary fixed-term full-time position during our peak season, from mid-September 2026 to the end of January 2027. The role is suited to someone with retail or customer service experience who is ready to learn our products, systems, and customer service processes.

Retail Customer Service Assistant

What You Will Do

Customer Service & Sales Focus

- Respond to trampoline and play equipment enquiries, helping customers understand product features, safety information, and basic product selection.

- Assist with face-to-face retail sales and help customers at our in office display area.

- Handle inbound phone calls, emails, and live chats in a friendly and professional way, escalating complex
enquiries when needed.

- Listen to customer feedback, assist with straightforward issues, and listen?





- Learn the basics of Hobbies Direct products so you can assist with simple phone enquiries and order checks as part of the wider customer service team.

Administration, Systems & Logistics

- Accurately enter and process sales orders, check stock availability, and assist with basic refunds and returns using our POS and internal software systems.

- Help follow up order tracking and delivery updates with courier partners, using guidance from the team where needed.

- Support basic stock tasks in the local warehouse and office, including checking items and passing on supplier or stock queries to the appropriate team member.

Warehouse & Hands-On Support

- Assist the warehouse team during peak traffic with order checks, picking and packing, dispatch, and display stock organisation.

- Safely lift and handle packages and boxes up to 20kg.

What You Bring

- Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.

- Comfortable using computers and willing to learn our POS, CRM, Zoho, Microsoft Office, and internal software systems.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional phone manner.

- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt across basic product lines for trampolines and remote-control hobbies.

- Physical capability to carry out manual handling, order checking, and lifting up to 20kg.

- Full availability to work on-site Monday to Friday (with occasional weekends on an agreed basis) from Mid-September 2026 to end of January 2027.

- Australian work rights, a valid driver's licence, and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
