Our client is currently going through a major data migration project and is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the team on a contract basis. Reporting to the Data Engineering Lead, you will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable data solutions using Databricks while working closely with engineering, technology and product teams to support the successful delivery of business initiatives. This role will focus on building robust data pipelines, integrating data into the enterprise data platform and ensuring high-quality, reliable data across the organisation.

6 month Contract Role

Responsibilities

- Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines using PySpark and Databricks.
- Build and maintain data ingestion frameworks into the enterprise data lake.
- Work closely with Technology, Product and Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based data solutions within an AWS workplace.
- Ensure data quality,



reliability and governance throughout the migration process.
- Implement best practices across data architecture, security and performance optimisation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to support successful project delivery.

The required skillset....

- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with strong Databricks and PySpark expertise.
- Strong SQL skills and experience designing scalable data models.
- Hands-on experience building data platforms and pipelines within AWS.
- Experience working closely with Technology, Product and Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, cloud data architecture and data integration.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
