Adept Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Dentist for an exciting locum opportunity with a regional Queensland public health service based in Longreach.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician looking to combine a diverse clinical caseload with a senior leadership role. You will provide comprehensive oral health services while mentoring and supporting other oral health professionals across the region.
The Role
As the Senior Dentist, you will:
- Provide high-quality general dental services to paediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
- Deliver a broad range of clinical treatments, including:
- Dental restorations
- Endodontics
- Dental extractions
- Assess and triage emergency dental patients.
- Provide dental treatment under general anaesthesia where required.
- Maintain the highest standards of infection prevention and control.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and supervision to Oral Health clinicians and support staff.
- Participate in outreach clinics servicing regional communities.
- Please note that outreach clinics may require stays of up to five consecutive business days at a time.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current registration as a Dentist with AHPRA.
- Extensive experience in general dentistry across paediatric, adult and geriatric populations.
- Solid clinical leadership, mentoring and supervisory skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of infection prevention and control.
- Experience providing treatment under general anaesthesia is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A willingness to travel to outreach locations as required.
