Role Description:
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering Council's communications, media relations, digital content and community engagement activities. The role leads the day-to-day operations of the Communications Team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality communications that inform, engage and connect the community.
Qualifications:
A degree or less formal qualification in communications, media or related fields or substantial experience in media relations, corporate communications or public relations.
Key Selection Criteria:
- 1- Demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating and delivering communications, media and public relations initiatives
- 2- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- 3- Strong stakeholder engagement and media management capability
- 4- Proven Leadership and team management skills
- 5- Specialist knowledge of contemporary communications, community engagement and digital media practices
