About the role:
You will work across a broad range of transactional banking, finance and financial services regulatory matters, including:
- Acting for banks, lenders, borrowers, investors and corporate clients.
- Assisting with business, property and acquisition finance transactions.
- Drafting and reviewing loan, security and related documents.
- Supporting matters from the initial stages through to completion.
- Conducting legal research and due diligence.
- Advising clients on financial services and regulatory requirements.
- Working closely with lawyers across corporate, property, restructuring and tax.
- Managing client relationships and taking on greater responsibility as you develop.
The ideal candidate:
- Approximately 1–4 years’ post-qualification experience in a banking and finance team.
- A strong academic record.
- Excellent drafting, legal research and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify key legal and commercial issues.
- Commercially minded, proactive and focused on delivering practical outcomes.
- Confident building relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
