Looking for more than just a nursing job? Join the Rural and Remote Services as a Nurse Unit Manager and experience the unique opportunity to deliver care that truly matters – while living in one of Australia’s most beautiful and relaxed tropical regions. You will be accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of meeting best practice standards for clinical practice and patient centred care within a multidisciplinary team for the Emergency Department and Specialist Clinics areas.

About us:

Innisfail Hospital is a 49-bed rural hospital providing health care services at Level 3 – 4 within the Clinical Services Capability Framework. The Emergency Department is a busy rural department with approximately 1500 presentations per month. The Specialist Clinics area supports approximately 10 – 14 public and private visiting outreach specialist services.

About your prospect:

In this position you will…





- Provide effective and efficient management of service in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence based care.
- Lead the implementation of programs through effective use of teams, establishing clear plans, timelines and specific activities.
- Collaboratively lead, support and participate in investigating and implementing recommendations for improved client outcomes and service delivery using a range of appropriate audit/research approaches.
