The Prospect

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our Oceans & Environment team in our Brisbane or Cairns offices.

What You Will Be Doing

- Preparing environmental assessments, technical reports and environmental management plans.
- Assisting with environmental impact assessments and planning approval documentation.
- Conducting environmental investigations, literature reviews and data analysis.
- Supporting environmental approvals under Queensland and Commonwealth legislation.
- Coordinating inputs from technical specialists and project stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Building strong relationships with clients, regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Assisting with project planning, budgeting and delivery to meet client expectations.
- Supporting proposal preparation and business development activities.
- Ensuring work is delivered safely on time and to a high technical standard.

About You





You will be passionate about delivering practical environmental outcomes and enjoy working on a wide variety of projects in a collaborative consulting environment.

You Will Also Bring

- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Experience working in environmental consulting, government or a related industry.
- Knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and environmental assessment processes.
- An understanding of the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
- Strong technical report writing and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes for clients.
- A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake occasional field work and travel as required.
