Description
Department: Urban Services and FacilitiesReports to: Concrete Crew LeaderSalary Range: $61,472 - $71,441 per annum + superannuation
Do you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy seeing the results of your work every day?
We're looking for an experienced Concrete Operator to join our team, helping deliver the concrete and drainage infrastructure that keeps our communities safe, connected and looking their best. From footpaths and kerb and guttering to drainage systems and stormwater infrastructure, you'll help build and maintain assets that people rely on every day and be part of projects that leave a lasting impact across the Shire.
No two days are the same in this hands‑on role. You'll carry out all aspects of concrete construction including formwork, pouring, finishing and curing, while also constructing and maintaining drainage assets, operating plant and equipment, reading construction plans and supporting civil construction activities. You'll primarily work with your local crew but will also lend a hand to our concrete teams across Coolah and Dunedoo, as well as assisting our Roads Crew on construction projects when needed. You'll even play an significant role supporting the community through grave digging works as required. Whatever the task,
you'll understand that delivering quality work safely, on time and to specification has a direct impact on project outcomes, budgets and the communities we serve.
We're looking for someone who already has solid concreting experience and can confidently hit the ground running. A current NSW MR Driver Licence and White Card are essential, along with the ability to safely operate concreting tools, plant and equipment. Just as importantly, you'll be someone who takes initiative, isn't afraid of hard work, enjoys getting your hands dirty and takes pride in doing the job properly. If you're the type of person who sees what needs doing and gets stuck in, you'll fit right in.
You'll be joining a close‑knit, experienced crew that's known for working well together, supporting one another and stepping in to help other teams whenever needed. It's a positive, hardworking environment where everyone pitches in, shares knowledge and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes. If you're looking for a secure Local Government career with variety, great teammates and work you can genuinely be proud of, we'd love to hear from you.
