The Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (GRAMS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Health Nurse to join our Family Health Unit.
This rewarding role supports Aboriginal children and families by delivering culturally safe child health services, including immunisations, child health assessments and health promotion programs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help improve health outcomes across Geraldton and surrounding communities.
About the Role
As a Child Health Nurse, you will:
- Deliver child health assessments, immusations and primary health care services.
- Deliver health promotion and education programs for children, families and the community.
- Work collaboratively with GP's, Midwifes allied health professionals and Aboriginal Health Practitioners.
- Develop care plans to support vulnerable children and families.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to quality improvement activities.
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Certificate in Child and Community Health Nursing (or equivalent).
- Experience in child and community health nursing, including immunisation services.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Demonstrated commitment to providing culturally protected services to Aboriginal people.
- Knowledge of family networks within the Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison regions.
