Accounts Officer - Payroll & Accounts Payable

An immediate chance has become available for an Accounts Officer - Payroll & Accounts Payable to join their collaborative finance team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Reporting to an exceptional CFO with an outstanding reputation for developing and supporting their team, you will join a close-knit finance function where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. The Role

This is a hands-on position combining end-to-end payroll, accounts payable and general finance support within a supportive team setting.
Your responsibilities will include:

- End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 75 employees
- Maintaining payroll records and responding to payroll enquiries
- Processing end-to-end accounts payable
- Matching, coding and processing supplier invoices
- Weekly payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- Employee expense reimbursements and corporate card administration
- Assisting with month-end journals, reconciliations and reporting where appropriate
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc finance administration

The Successful Candidate

We are open to a range of backgrounds and encourage applications from candidates who have experience across payroll and accounts payable.
You may currently be working as an:

- Accounts Officer
- Payroll Officer
- Assistant Accountant
- Bookkeeper
- Finance Officer

To be successful you will ideally possess:

- Experience processing end-to-end payroll
- Accounts payable experience from invoice through to payment runs
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to support the broader finance team
- Month-end experience will be viewed favourably but is not essential
