About Withstand Lawyers

We're a Parramatta-based plaintiff personal injury firm. Workers compensation and work injury damages are the bulk of what we do, alongside motor vehicle accidents and TPD/superannuation claims.

The Role

- Manage your own caseload of workers compensation and WID matters from intake through resolution

- Optionally mentor juniors or take on team-leadership responsibilities if that's the direction you want. Not required if you'd rather stay focused on your own files

These aren't bullet-point promises. Each one is in your written contract.

- Capped file load. Your maximum active file count is written into your employment agreement. We don't quietly raise it. If volume creeps up, we hire, not redistribute.

- No after-hours and no weekend work. Hours are 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We measure outputs (matters progressed, resolved), not seat time. If you're working past 5:30 PM frequently, something's broken and we fix it, not you.

- Named support staff. Every lawyer has assigned paralegal and legal secretary support. You're not chasing your own subpoenas.





- Hybrid that's actually hybrid. Three days a week from home, baseline. Office is in Parramatta, in-building parking and ten minutes from the station.

- Transparent salary. Salary range is on this ad. The bonus structure is written, formula-based, and reviewed quarterly. No surprises at performance review.

- Modern systems. Automated workflows, AI-assisted drafting and research. We invest in tools so you spend your day on legal work, not formatting precedents.

About You

We're hiring for capability: proven ability to run a successful WC and WID practice from intake to resolution.

- 2+ years post-admission in plaintiff workers compensation and work injury damages. More senior lawyers wanting a managing or team‑lead role are encouraged to apply, title and salary scale accordingly

- Current NSW practising certificate

- Demonstrated ability to run your own files end-to-end: conferences, conciliations, PIC proceedings, settlements. If a partner is doing those for you now, this isn't the role

- Genuine commitment to plaintiff-side work and client outcomes

What We Offer

- Full-time or 4-day part-time. Four-day minimum for part time arrangements. Pro-rata salary, pro-rata file cap, same support staff and tools. Days worked are negotiable.
