About you and our client

Are you client focused, professional and committed to supporting people living their best lives?

We are looking for compassionate and reliable support workers to join a team to assist our female client who lives with Multiple Sclerosis and Quadriplegia. The hours available are ongoing passive overnight shifts that include 8 hours of passive supports and at least 4 hours of active support

We are seeking qualified workers that have worked with and are confident with clients who live with Quadriplegia. McArthur Community Care, respect and value our workforce, by doing this, we are paying a considerable amount above the award.

You will be responsible for providing dedicated, individualised and flexible support services to assist our client to live independently, safely, and comfortably within the community.

Your role will include

- Supporting our client in her own home where she receives 24 hours support from a dedicated team of support workers
- Support with personal care - hygiene, transfers, continence, grooming, etc
- Working within a highly unwavering team of workers

Our Applicants will have

- An engaging Person-centred approach to in home support with exceptional listening skills and a highly professional approach to support work
- Effective communication and relationship building skills.
- A positive, engaging and respectful manner.
- A genuine desire to have influence in the lives of people with a disability.
- Proven experience in collaborating with people living with a disability that have high complex care needs.

Skills & Experience Required

- Certificate III in Individual Support or similar or Diploma of Nursing/Bachelor of Nursing.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Valid unrestricted Driver's Licence, comprehensive car insurance and willing to transport clients.
