Our client, Australia's national policing agency responsible for investigating Commonwealth offences, protecting national security and combating serious crime, are seeking the experience of multiple Procurement Specialists (APS5 & APS6).

Duties of the Procurement Specialists

- Provide flexible & scalable procurement capability to respond effectively to fluctuating workload demands;
- Support the timely delivery of procurement activities, contributing to improved outcomes & in support of organisational priorities;
- Enhance workforce sustainability by complementing internal capacity & enabling a balanced distribution of work;
- Strengthen the quality, consistency, & defensibility of procurement processes & documentation;
- Promote strong compliance with CPRs & internal frameworks, reinforcing assurance & audit readiness;
- Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices;
- Facilitate knowledge sharing & capability uplift, contributing to continuous improvement.

Skills required for the APS 5 Procurement Support

- 1–2 years’ procurement experience in government
- Supports procurement activities under supervision
- Support procurement planning & documentation activities
- Draft components of procurement documents using established templates
- Conduct basic market research & supplier analysis




- Assist with coordination of ATM activities
- Support evaluation processes, including collation of evaluation materials
- Maintain procurement records and ensure documentation is complete

Skills Required for the APS6 Procurement Advisor

- 2–5 years’ procurement experience in government;
- Works independently within established structures;
- Manage end-to-end low to medium risk procurements;
- Develop Spending Proposals & other relevant documentation;
- Prepare relevant ATM documentation including procurement planning;
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements & manage expectations;
- Prepare evaluation reports & approval documentation;
- Support negotiations & contract establishment.
