Our facility offers a multi-purpose events centre, two restaurants, a café, five bars, 24/7 fitness centre, kids club, gaming facilities and free weekly entertainment, plus Mantra at Sharks - a 120-room hotel.

About the Role …
We are accepting applications for an experienced Gaming Team Leader who has a bright, outgoing personality and exceptional customer service skills to provide "hands on" leadership, guidance and supervision of gaming and associated team members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing prompt, friendly, customer focused advice and assistance to members and guests on machine and loyalty system operation, including carrying out permitted minor repairs and machine maintenance
- Provide food and beverage services to gaming patrons quickly and efficiently, ensuring there are minimal waiting times
- To handle all cash and gaming associated transactions in an efficient manner, ensuring the security of cash and the privacy of member details at all times
- Control team members working hours in accordance with trading patterns
- Monitor, evaluate and ensure team member productivity, service standards and professionalism on a shift by shift basis
- Actively assist team members to understand all aspects of their employment
- Mentor and assist team members to provide exemplary customer service
- Provide on-the-job training to improve job skills
- Ensure that team members promote the Club Loyalty program
- The assist with clearances, hopper weights and meter reads as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised workplace free of any hazards
About you…
As someone with previous experience in the hospitality industry, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will have a willingness to build long-term relationships with our members and will have impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:
Essential skills and competencies:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with a range of different people
- Trustworthy and reliable
- High level of grooming and personal presentation standards
- Reliability and the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including but not limited to nights and weekends.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of gaming supervisory experience
- Current Qld RSA and RSG
- Experience in TAB and Keno would be advantageous

Since relocating to Fankhauser Reserve in 1988 and the introduction of gaming machines in 1992, Southport Sharks has experienced rapid growth in membership numbers.
