About The Role

The Senior Mental Health Clinician provides advanced assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing early psychosis across Griffith and Wagga Wagga. The role delivers evidence‑based, recovery‑focused treatment while working closely with families, carers and key community stakeholders to support functional recovery. You will also contribute to a youth‑friendly, inclusive team culture and provide supervision and mentoring to junior staff. This position plays a vital part in early intervention, ensuring timely, high‑quality, consumer‑centred care in line with legislation,



guidelines and NSW Health standards.

Responsibilities

- Provide high‑quality assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing early psychosis.
- Delivering evidence‑based therapeutic interventions aligned with early psychosis clinical guidelines.
- Partnering with consumers, families and carers in youth-friendly, recovery-oriented care.
- Support positive outcomes through early intervention and continuity of care.

Candidate Criteria

- Tertiary qualifications in nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, counselling, or Aboriginal Health (Djirruwang program), with current AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership with the relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated post‑graduate experience working within mental health settings.
- Proven clinical experience and advanced knowledge in youth mental health and/or early psychosis.
- NSW Working With Children Check and NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative, inclusive approach.
