We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Contracts / Project Manager for a contracted opportunity within a local government workplace.
This is a leadership-focused role for an experienced civil professional with strong advanced contract management, negotiation and people leadership skills. You’ll be responsible for ensuring civil projects are effectively managed and delivered to the required standards, on time and within budget.
About the role
In this position, you will:
- Lead the effective contract management of civil projects from commencement through to completion.
- Provide strong commercial and contractual oversight across project delivery.
- Lead, support and manage staff to ensure projects are appropriately contract managed.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring works are delivered to agreed standards, timeframes and budgets.
- Manage contractual issues, risks, negotiations and stakeholder requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure effective project and contract outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and key stakeholders.
About you
We are looking for an experienced civil projects and contracts professional who can demonstrate:
- Advanced experience in contract management of civil projects.
- Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills.
- Proven people leadership and staff management experience.
- The ability to lead a team and provide clear direction across multiple project priorities.
- Strong understanding of project delivery, contractual obligations, budgets and timeframes.
- The ability to identify and manage contractual and project risks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strong focus on delivering projects to the required standard, on time and within budget.
