About the Role

We are a leading manufacturing facility, that partners with well-known brands to deliver high quality products in a fast paced environment. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to support the reliability and performance of our production lines. This hands-on role operates within a energetic manufacturing setting, offering the opportunity to work both autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional teams while contributing to continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and production lines

- Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment

- Repair and replace machine components including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and packaging equipment

- Diagnose mechanical faults and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime

- Complete maintenance tasks and record work in the CMMS system

- Complete line changeovers

- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability

- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, GMP, and HACCP standards





- Assist with ordering parts and maintaining critical spares

- Communicate effectively with production and maintenance teams

- Provide after-hours/on-call support as required

About You

- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or other similar trade

- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment

- Experience in the beverage industry is highly regarded

- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

- Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently and within a team

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment

- Strong communication skills and attention to detail

- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

- Forklift licence and EWP (highly advantageous) or willingness to obtain

- Stainless Steel Tig Welding (highly desirable)

Additional Information

- This role is 5 days per week onsite in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs

- Due to limited public transport access, an own vehicle is preferred
