About Us:
At Landlinks, we restore, protect and improve natural and urban environments across Melbourne and Victoria. Our teams work across specialist departments including Urban Forestry, Ecological Restoration, Open Space Maintenance, Fire Mitigation and Vegetation Management, and Landscape Construction. Our Urban Forestry department delivers large-scale tree planting, establishment and ongoing tree care programs that help create healthy, resilient urban canopies. Our depot is based in Dandenong South, with projects delivered across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Role Overview:
Due to company growth, we are seeking motivated Urban Forestry Crew Members to join our hands-on tree planting and establishment teams. Multiple positions are available, including part-time, full-time and contract opportunities. Contract positions are for 6 months, with the potential to extend. In this role, you will help plant, establish and maintain trees across streetscapes, reserves, parks and public spaces. You will work alongside experienced crew members and supervisors, receive on-the-job training, and use appropriate PPE, tools and equipment to complete works safely and to a high standard.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Planting trees across streetscapes, parks, reserves and public spaces

- Supporting tree establishment works including watering, mulching, staking, retying, formative pruning and pest monitoring

- Undertaking weed control using a combination of manual methods and herbicide application where appropriately trained

- Operating company vehicles, tools and equipment safely and appropriately

- Working outdoors in a range of conditions while maintaining strong safety, quality and presentation standards

- Communicating site issues clearly and working cooperatively with supervisors, crew members and clients





About You:
You will enjoy practical outdoor work and be comfortable completing physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions. You will bring a positive attitude, reliability, a strong focus on safety and quality, and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in horticulture, landscaping, arboriculture, conservation land management, tree planting or open space maintenance will be highly regarded, but we also welcome applicants who are looking to start or grow their career in the industry.

Essential requirements:

- Driver’s Licence

- Construction Induction Card / White Card

- Working with Children Check

Desirable but not essential:

- Truck licence highly favourable (LR or MR minimum) or willingness to obtain

- ACUP – Agricultural Chemical Users Permit or willingness to obtain

- First Aid Level 2

- Chainsaw – Crosscut Level 1

- Machine operation tickets such as tractor, loader or track loader tickets

- Certificate, Diploma, TAFE or tertiary qualifications in Horticulture, Arboriculture, Conservation Land Management, Natural Resource Management, Landscaping or a related field
