As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced ICT Technician to provide exceptional technical support and maintain high system standards across our campuses. We will require an Technician to be based at Ohana College, Meadowbrook. Although based at this location, ICT Technicians may be required to travel to and work from either our Logan locations or our Gold Coast locations at Varsity Lakes or Robina.

Reporting directly to the IT Projects Lead & ICT Team Leader,
you will play a hands-on role in providing a high level of ICT support to our staff, students, and community stakeholders. Operating within an organization-wide Apple device and Google Workspace environment, you will manage helpdesk tickets, maintain hardware, and ensure our network infrastructure runs seamlessly.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Helpdesk Support: Managing and resolving front desk queries, incoming calls, and helpdesk emails efficiently.
- Hardware & Systems Maintenance: Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing computing equipment, peripherals, and PA/audiovisual systems.
- Network & Software Support: Supporting local area networks, server infrastructure, wireless access points, and VoIP phone systems, while applying routine system updates and patches.
- User & Asset Management: Handling user account creation/deletion and accurately keeping track of the organization’s ICT asset registers.
- Collaborative Support: Partnering with teachers and staff to effectively implement technology in the classroom, with a willingness to travel to other campuses for on-site support when operational needs arise.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a customer-focused attitude alongside solid technical troubleshooting capabilities.
Requirements:
- Essential: A current and valid Paid Working with Children Blue Card.
- Experience: Proven experience working within an IT helpdesk environment with a strong practical understanding of Apple iOS and OS X operating systems.
- Technical Skills: Sound troubleshooting skills across hardware, software applications, and peripheral devices.
- Communication: Exceptional people skills, strong telephone etiquette, and the ability to work cooperatively within a dynamic team setting.
- Desirable: A relevant qualification (Diploma or Degree) in ICT (or working towards one), and familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM), Microsoft systems, or Google Workspace.
