Software Assurance, Audit or Verification Specialist

Your new role: An experienced Software Assurance, Audit or Verification Specialist to join a leading consultancy in supporting a Federal Government Agency in delivering independent assurance services for the EasyCount - Senate application. This unique engagement will focus on validating the software that performs the distribution of preferences during Australian Senate elections. Working alongside technical and business stakeholders, you will review legislative requirements, assess software implementation, develop testing methodologies and provide independent certification of the system's accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Reviewing and analysing legislative requirements governing Senate vote counting
- Assessing business rules and software implementation against legislation
- Reviewing source code and technical documentation
- Designing test strategies, test scripts and test datasets
- Executing software assurance and validation activities
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying key issues
- Producing draft and final assurance reports




- Working closely with technical and business stakeholders
- Supporting assurance activities associated with future legislative or system changes

What you'll need to succeed

- Demonstrated experience in software assurance, software audit, IV&V; or verification activities
- Strong software testing and quality assurance capability
- Experience validating complex algorithms or business rules
- Ability to review and interpret technical documentation and source code
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and report-writing abilities
- Baseline Security Clearance (minimum)
- Experience within Government, Electoral, Regulatory, Defence or highly governed environments will be highly regarded
