Senior Project Manager - Mechanical (HVAC)

Tier 1 National Contractor

An opportunity has opened with a national Tier 1 mechanical contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across Australia. With a well-established Canberra office and a consistent pipeline of major work within the data centres space, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Senior Project Manager to help lead the delivery of large-scale mechanical packages.

This business is known for delivering major commercial, healthcare, data centre and infrastructure projects and operates with a highly experienced leadership team and strong internal structure across engineering, estimating, delivery and commissioning.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of mechanical HVAC packages across major construction projects. You will work closely with construction managers, engineers, site teams and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Leading project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
- Managing project programmes, budgets and commercial performance
- Coordinating engineering, procurement and site teams
- Managing subcontractors and supplier relationships
- Working closely with Tier 1 builders and key stakeholders
- Mentoring project managers and engineers within the team




- Ensuring projects meet quality, safety and contractual requirements

Projects

The business delivers mechanical packages across major building projects including:

- Healthcare and hospital projects

Mechanical packages typically range from $20M through to $100M+.

About You

- Proven experience delivering mechanical HVAC projects within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
- Background as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within building services
- Strong commercial and project delivery capability
- Experience managing large teams and complex stakeholder environments
- Ability to drive programme, manage risk and maintain strong client relationships

This role would suit an experienced Project Manager ready to step into a senior leadership role, or an established Senior Project Manager looking to work with one of the most reputable mechanical contractors in the Australian market.
