About the Role
St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and experienced Australian Rules Football Head Coach to join our Sport Department. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a dynamic program, driving success both on and off the field while making a meaningful impact on student development.
The Head Coach will drive the development of the Australian Rules program, fostering an inclusive team culture and delivering high‑quality coaching, while collaborating with stakeholders and modelling the College’s values to ensure exceptional program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective training sessions and game strategies, supporting athlete skill development and performance progression.
- Foster a positive, inclusive team environment that promotes enjoyment, discipline, respect, and well‑being.
- Lead and coordinate the program across the season, including training schedules, competition preparation, and resource management.
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, staff, and stakeholders, providing updates on progress and representing the program.
- Maintain up‑to‑date coaching knowledge and support the development of assistant coaches.
What You Bring
- A relevant coaching qualification and/or significant experience in a similar sports leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and developing athletes, with solid sport‑specific knowledge.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, with strong organisational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and alignment with the College’s values and expected standards of conduct.
- Commitment to the College’s Christian ethos and values.
Eligibility Requirements
- All employees must hold a current paid Blue Card / Exemption Card or be issued with a paid Blue Card / Exemption Card before commencing work.
