ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Material Expeditor will provide operational support to Victoria and Queensland facilities to the Production, Purchasing and Logistics teams through expediting purchased parts to prevent delays and keep operations running smoothly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Expedite purchased parts and materials to meet production schedules and lead‑time requirements.
- Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Identify and escalate material shortages and delays.
- Prioritise materials based on production demand and operational urgency.
- Communicate status updates.
- Work closely with Planning, Engineering and Sales to understand material requirements.
- Assist in resolving material-related issues impacting manufacturing output.
- Oversee incoming deliveries and coordinate their movement around the factory.
- Maintain accurate material status updates in our ERP system.
- Ensure material handing aligns with safety and quality standards.
- Support process improvements in expediting.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience in materials expediting, supply chain or manufacturing operations (preferred).
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows and production requirements.
- Experience working with suppliers.
- Experience in Epicor (desirable).
- Forklift licence (desirable).

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
