We're on the lookout for an Apprentice Carpenter to join our team out at Brunette Downs Station.

This position offers an excellent chance for individuals who thrive in hands-on trades. You'll acquire experience repairing structures and fixtures crafted from wood, plywood, and various materials. In this pivotal role, you'll construct a wide array of items, including housing features like walls, floorboards, and frames.

Cattle Station

Brunette Downs isn’t just another property; it’s at the heart of AACo and a huge part of our history! Situated 350km northeast of the nearest town, Tennant Creek, the property comprises of mostly open downs country and is involved in the breeding and backgrounding of our Mitchell Composite and Wagyu F1 cattle.

In this role, you will report to and be mentored by the company's Carpenter to conduct inspections, renovations, and new builds on AACo’s properties throughout the Barkly region. Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing drawings and selecting timbers and other materials for layout.





- Cutting and assembling materials.

- Repairing existing fittings and nailing panels.

- Ordering timber materials.

- Installing exterior wall cladding and window frames.

- Assembling wooden structures and installing wood joints.

- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

- Ability to liaise with various stakeholders and clients.

- Enjoyment of manual work and possessing a can-do attitude.

- Ability to work towards and meet deadlines.

- Ongoing training and development, both on the job and from external providers

- Onsite accommodation with air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and prepared meals.
