The role
Applications are sought for the position of Senior Mine Geologist
The responsibilities of this role will be:

- Support the Drive to 300koz+ and beyond through Resource Conversion, Definition and UG Exploration drilling to grow Inferred and Indicated Resources.
- Coordinate all mine geology and grade control activities, ensuring high-quality work and industry best practice.
- Optimise ore extraction by maximising recovery and minimising dilution, including ore supervision, stope design input and quality Stope Notes.
- Develop and maintain 3D geological and Grade Control models to support mine planning and scheduling.
- Maintain robust QA/QC, geological databases, production data and stope tracking systems, including liaison with laboratories on trends.
- Ensure capital and ore development is mapped, sampled and structurally measured to meet regulatory requirements,



improve geological/geotechnical understanding and promptly identify hazards.
- Ensure key geological features and contacts are appropriately marked up and communicated to Survey and Mining teams.
- Maintain high-quality structural data capture from development and core logging, working with Structural Geology consultants to integrate data into 3D models.
- Coordinate geometallurgical sampling to support recovery factors and key-element estimates within geological models, mine plans and processing forecasts.
- Drive stope performance through collaboration with Technical Services, Mining, Engineering and drilling contractors.
- Complete 3MS reviews and rolling 12-month de-risking of scheduled stoping.
- Lead month-end reconciliation and performance analysis, including stope and in-mine reconciliation against Grade Control, Mine Design, Resource and Reserve models.
- Oversee accurate and timely daily, weekly and monthly geological reporting.
- Manage ore stockpiles from underground through the MOP and ROM.
- Mentor and develop Project, Mine and Graduate Geologists.
- Foster team accountability and role ownership, applying HR policies and processes in collaboration with the Geology Manager – Operations and HR.

About you
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

- Tertiary qualification Bachelor Science (Geology) or equivalent from a recognised institution




- Member AIG, AusIMM or similar
- JORC training and knowledge of requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience including underground gold mining
- Skilled in mining software – Micromine, Leapfrog, Geobank
- Exposure to current grade control technologies and practices
- Planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrable team working skills
- Good communication skills
- Familiarity with Workplace Health and Safety Act & Regulations and Environmental Regulations
- ERT experience and willingness to join OBM’s ERT is preferred
- Class C WA manual driver’s licence
- Current First Aid certificate
