Freshcare Limited is Australia's leading industry-led, not-for-profit organisation, established over 25 years ago to provide assurance programs that enhance the market access of Australian fresh produce and wine grapes. Freshcare also supports the sustainability of viticulture and wine making through certification programs.

As Freshcare delivers its Strategic Vision 2030, we are seeking experienced Non-Executive Directors to provide strategic leadership, sound governance, and independent oversight. Two (2) x three-year terms are available for appointment.

About the Board

The Board plays a key governance role, serving as the guardian of the organisation’s vision and values, while ensuring compliance and effective risk management. The Board meets quarterly (two online and two in person annually), with additional time committed to preparation and committee participation.

Skills and Experience Required

- Experience in Board, Chair and CEO responsibilities
- Commitment to good governance, accountability, and strategic oversight
- Understanding of ESG principles and their integration into strategy
- Expertise in artificial intelligence governance, ethics, and privacy
- Financial oversight, performance interpretation,



and organisational risk management
- Experience in standards stewardship and maintaining integrity of Freshcare Standards

About You

- Board or senior executive leadership experience
- Strategic thinking, sound judgement, and effective Board decision-making
- Solid stakeholder engagement and collaborative leadership skills
- Knowledge of Australian horticulture, agriculture, or viticulture (desirable)
- Governance qualifications such as the AICD Company Directors Course or equivalent (desirable)

The Commitment

Three-year term commencing 10 November 2026.

Remuneration

Directors receive a sitting fee and reimbursement of approved expenses.
