Team Summary:

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific (AUNZSP) is Visa’s consulting division, helping clients accelerate growth, improve customer outcomes and increase portfolio profitability. This leadership role sits within Implementation Services and is responsible for driving measurable credit and debit card portfolio growth for Visa clients.

The Customer Portfolio Growth works with issuers, product teams, communication teams and client executives to design and execute strategies that increase card usage, improve customer engagement, strengthen loyalty, drive front-of-wallet behaviours and deliver sustainable financial outcomes. The role combines payments expertise, portfolio analytics, customer lifecycle strategy, transformation delivery and commercial leadership to help clients realise measurable value from Visa’s products, data and consulting capabilities.

What an Implementation Services Director does at Visa:

Portfolio Growth & Customer Value Delivery Lead strategic projects that drive credit and debit card portfolio growth across acquisition, activation, usage, retention and loyalty. Define and execute customer portfolio strategies that increase spend, transaction frequency, cardholder engagement and share of wallet. Identify growth opportunities through leveraging Visa best practice and market trends. Partner with clients to improve customer lifetime value, profitability and portfolio performance. Establish measurable success metrics and value realisation frameworks tied to customer and financial outcomes.

2. Commercial Growth & Strategic Client Leadership Partner with Account Executives, Advisory teams and Product teams to identify, shape and commercialise growth opportunities. Translate Visa capabilities, data assets and innovation opportunities into practical client outcomes. Build trusted executive relationships that position Visa as a strategic growth partner. Support account planning activities and create scalable solutions that expand Visa’s footprint and client value. Contribute to revenue growth through outcome-led implementation and optimisation engagements.

3. Outcome Delivery, Analytics & Optimisation Lead the execution of portfolio optimisation programs from mobilisation through to benefits realisation. Establish governance forums, performance reporting and executive dashboards. Leverage data, analytics, automation and AI-enabled approaches to accelerate client outcomes. Drive continuous improvement through testing, measurement and optimisation frameworks. Ensure programs deliver quantifiable business, customer and financial benefits.

4. People Leadership & Capability Development Build and coach high-performing teams with strong commercial, consulting and client leadership skills. Build high-performing and diverse teams with a strong focus on commercial acumen, client impact and accountability. Coach future leaders and create development pathways that strengthen delivery, consulting and transformation capabilities. Create a culture of accountability, innovation, customer focus and continuous improvement. Support capability development across payments, loyalty, customer growth and portfolio management disciplines.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful 15+ years of experience in cards, payments, banking, communications, loyalty, growth strategy or portfolio management. Strong understanding of card economics, card portfolio management, customer lifecycle strategy and loyalty programs. Proven experience delivering measurable growth in customer engagement, transaction volumes, spend or profitability. Experience working with credit card and debit card portfolios. Strong commercial acumen with experience developing business cases and growth strategies. Experience influencing senior executives and leading complex stakeholder environments. Knowledge of analytics, customer segmentation and data-driven decision making. Experience leveraging technology, automation or AI to improve performance outcomes. Exceptional communication, consulting and relationship management skills. Bachelor degree in business, commerce, marketing or related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications highly desirable.

Additional Information This role reports to the Head of Implementation Services (Portfolio Optimisation & Operations) AUNZSP and works closely with Account Executives, Advisory, Product, Data Science and Marketing teams.
