Remuneration: Band 6 salary from $104,133.36 per annum plus superannuation and a fortnightly RDO

About the role
Wyndham City is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Team Leader Fleet Maintenance to lead our workshop operations and ensure our diverse fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment remains safe, reliable and ready to support essential Council services.
What your day will look like
- Lead, coach and support a team of workshop employees and contractors to deliver high-quality fleet maintenance services.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs to maximise vehicle availability and minimise downtime.
- Oversee daily workshop operations including scheduling, labour allocation and quality assurance of completed works.
- Provide technical advice on fleet replacement, plant specifications and mechanical issues to support informed decision making.
- Monitor workshop performance, safety compliance and maintenance reporting while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you will bring
You are a collaborative leader with extensive mechanical knowledge and experience managing fleet maintenance operations.
You enjoy developing people, improving processes and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and efficient workshop.
- A formal trade qualification in Light and Heavy Vehicles.
- Significant experience maintaining a large and diverse fleet of vehicles and plant.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a fleet workshop or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of workshop planning, preventative maintenance and fleet management systems.
- Experience providing technical advice on vehicle and plant procurement and lifecycle management.
- A current Victorian Heavy Rigid driver's licence.
