Key Responsibilities

- Own the accuracy and integrity of general ledger reconciliations across the balance sheet and profit and loss.
- Complete month‑end and year‑end accounting activities, including journals, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
- Prepare meaningful financial analysis and commentary on operating performance, overhead spend, variances and project financials.
- Partner with Operations, Warehousing, Logistics and Inventory teams to provide cost insights and support better commercial decision‑making.
- Support cashflow management and liaise with Treasury and head office teams as required.
- Manage intercompany payments, recharges, reconciliations and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls, processes and procedures in line with group policies.
- Review accounting systems, processes and procedures, recommending improvements where required.
- Support inventory‑related financial processes, costing, reconciliations and issue resolution.
- Assist with taxation and compliance requirements, including BAS, FBT and income tax return preparation.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and coordinate audit requirements with business stakeholders.




- Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances, driving improvements in quality, timeliness and efficiency.
- Document key financial processes and maintain knowledge management materials.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc finance projects.

About You

You are a technically solid and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, improving processes and turning financial information into practical insights.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 3+ years’ relevant corporate accounting experience, ideally within an inventory, distribution, retail, logistics or medium‑to‑large commercial environment.
- CPA, CA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong financial accounting capability, including balance sheet reconciliations, month‑end reporting and application of accounting standards.
- Experience with company tax requirements, including BAS, FBT and income tax.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret results, explain variances and prepare clear financial reports.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large ERP systems; JD Edwards or similar experience highly regarded.
- Experience with BI or reporting tools would be advantageous.
- Inventory costing and distribution experience highly regarded.
- A continuous improvement mindset,



with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and business performance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders across finance and non‑finance teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions‑focused approach, with a strong sense of ownership.
