Overview
Work within a team to provide advice and execution services on M&A; transactions, initial public offerings, secondary capital raisings, private capital raisings, structured and distributed debt and hybrid capital raisings for both listed and unlisted corporates. This involves evaluating and monitoring market trends and providing investment insights by creating financial models, and working closely with clients to structure and execute capital offerings.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting client presentations that summarise research findings, capital analyses and recommendations
- Generation of origination ideas and present recommendations in a pitch to clients
- Data analysis and asset screening
- Evaluating market trends, industry dynamics and economic factors that might impact the financial performance
- Lead due diligence processes including financial modelling, valuation and risk assessment of prospective investments
- Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision making
- Preparing financial analysis including industry and market data, including maintaining trading and transaction comparable company benchmarks
- Preparation of detailed three-way operational models and valuation models using a variety of valuation methodologies including DCF and LBO
- Responsible for transaction execution across M&A; and capital markets transactions including timetables, workstream management and documentation preparation
- Drafting private and public marketing materials such as information memorandums, management presentations, scheme booklets and explanatory memorandums
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance related discipline
Experience
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
Skills
- Requires high level of self-motivation, enthusiasm and energy to thrive in a quick paced environment
- Strong Excel modelling skills
- Ability to build strong and enduring client relationships
- Strong analytical skills to perform in-depth research and financial modelling
- Strong PowerPoint skills to prepare and present reports
- Strong communication skills — clear concise writing and presentation skills to convey complex financial information in a way that is easy to understand
