An established and growing real estate private credit platform is seeking an experienced Originator to join its Sydney-based real estate credit team.

This is a market-facing origination role with end-to-end responsibility across relationship development, transaction structuring, and execution. You will work closely with senior investment, credit, and funds management colleagues to originate and deliver high-quality real estate debt transactions aligned to investor mandates and capital strategy.

The role will suit someone commercially minded who enjoys autonomy, external engagement, and playing a meaningful role in the growth of a scaled, well-capitalised platform.

The Opportunity

As an Originator, you will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and progressing real estate credit opportunities across the NSW market. Acting as a key representative of the business externally, you will build and maintain solid relationships with developers, sponsors, brokers, and advisers, while partnering internally to progress transactions from initial engagement through to settlement.

The platform invests across a broad range of real estate debt strategies, including land, bridging, construction, subdivision, residual stock, and investment lending.

Key Responsibilities

- Originate real estate credit opportunities across NSW through established and new relationships with developers, brokers, sponsors, and real estate financiers
- Lead transaction assessment and structuring, including analysis of asset quality, sponsor capability, market dynamics, and capital structure
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, LVR, security packages, covenants, and exit strategy
- Work closely with internal credit, risk, and investment teams to prepare term sheets, credit papers, due diligence materials,



and settlement documentation
- Maintain a well-managed and visible pipeline of live and prospective transactions across multiple stages
- Partner with funds management and capital markets colleagues to ensure transactions align with investor mandates and available capital
- Represent the business at industry events and maintain a strong presence across relevant networks
- Provide market insight and feedback on trends across property credit, alternative lending, and development finance

Skills and Experience

- Experience in real estate credit origination, property debt, development finance, or a related credit-led environment
- Established network across Sydney-based developers, sponsors, and brokers
- Strong capability in transaction structuring, credit analysis, and commercial assessment
- Confidence engaging externally and leading negotiations with senior counterparties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present transactions internally
- Comfortable managing multiple transactions concurrently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Self-directed, commercially astute, and outcomes-focused

Preferred Background

- Experience within non-bank lending or private credit platforms
- Strong understanding of the NSW property market and the full development lifecycle
- Exposure to wholesale investor platforms or funds management environments
