Manager Engineering Standards

- Salary commencing from $220,510 plus 16% superannuation

Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for technical governance, engineering standards and safe, reliable network outcomes? Evoenergy is seeking a Manager Engineering Standards to lead our Engineering Standards function and provide technical governance, engineering assurance and asset-owner engineering oversight across our electricity network.

In this strategic leadership role, you will shape the engineering policies, standards and governance frameworks that underpin the specification, procurement, design, construction and commissioning of Evoenergy's network assets. You will play a critical role in supporting safe, reliable, standardised and scalable network outcomes aligned to our long-term asset management objectives and strategy.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Manager Asset Management, you will:

- Lead and manage Evoenergy's Engineering Standards function, including engineering standards, technical governance, commissioning governance and engineering assurance activities.
- Drive the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, technical policies, reference designs and engineering assurance practices across transmission and distribution infrastructure.




- Provide technical governance and asset-owner oversight across major network design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities.
- Establish and maintain engineering governance, technical approval and assurance frameworks that support consistent engineering outcomes across capital delivery and operational activities.
- Build strong partnerships across Asset Management, Network Delivery, Customer Delivery, Works Enablement and external delivery partners.
- Lead capability development, succession planning and strategic technical partnerships to strengthen engineering capability across the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Current ACT Professional Engineering Registration, or the ability to obtain registration.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams in complex operational and delivery environments.
- Significant experience in engineering standards, engineering governance transformation and technical assurance within electricity networks or utility environments.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in at least one major electricity network discipline, such as substations, protection, automation, operational telecommunications,



or overhead and underground line infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of operational risk management, operational readiness and engineering assurance practices in critical infrastructure environments.

Desirable

- Postgraduate qualifications in engineering, asset management, business management or leadership.
- Experience supporting major capital delivery programs and governance maturity initiatives.
- Experience evolving engineering standards and governance practices to support emerging technologies and future network needs.
- Experience working in regulated utility or operationally critical infrastructure environments.
