About the role

B & B Electrical Services is seeking a skilled and experienced A Grade Electrician for immediate start to join our dynamic team in Melbourne VIC 3000. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects, applying your expertise to deliver high-quality installations. As an A Grade Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive professional electrical services that meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position is based on-site in Melbourne, allowing you to work directly with our teams and clients across a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

- Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with building codes and safety regulations

- Diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot complex problems efficiently to minimise downtime

- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance

- Read and interpret electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately

- Conduct electrical testing and commissioning of completed work

- Collaborate with other tradespeople, site managers to coordinate project activities

- Ensure all work sites are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

- Mentor and support junior electricians and apprentices where applicable

What we're looking for

- A Grade electrical license issued by the relevant Victorian authorities

- Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience as a qualified electrician

- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable in Victoria





- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools

- Strong understanding of domestic and commercial electrical systems

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments

- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to job sites

- Strong communication skills and professional customer service approach
