We're looking for a passionate Product Development Technologist who loves experimenting, solving technical challenges and turning outstanding ideas into products customers can't wait to buy.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take products from idea to shelf, working with our Product Development team to create donuts and bakery products that taste incredible and perform consistently in production.

Joining a small product development team of like-minded people where no two days are the same. One day you could be trialing a new filling, the next you're scaling a product for manufacturing or working with suppliers on the next big flavour.

You'll:

? Create Amazing Products

· Develop new donuts, bakery products and seasonal ranges from concept through to launch.

· Improve existing recipes to deliver better taste, texture, quality and value.

· Explore new ingredients,



flavours and technologies to keep Daniel's ahead of the game.

? Bring Ideas to Life

· Run factory trials and production scale-ups.

· Work closely with Production to ensure products perform consistently at commercial volumes.

· Solve formulation and process challenges before products hit the shelves.

✅ Keep Everything Safe & Compliant

· Ensure products meet Australian food regulations, allergen requirements and labelling standards.

· Manage shelf-life validation and nutritional verification.

· Maintain accurate product specifications and technical documentation.

? Deliver Great Projects

· Manage NPD projects from concept through to launch.

· Partner with Production, Procurement, Quality, Marketing and Sales.

· Keep projects on track, on budget and on time.

? Build Smart Products

· Balance quality with commercial outcomes.

· Optimise formulations and ingredient selection.

? Drive Innovation

· Work with ingredient and flavour suppliers to explore new ideas.

· Stay across food trends, emerging technologies and consumer insights.

· Help build an exciting innovation pipeline for the Daniel's brand.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with creativity and a genuine passion for food.

You'll ideally have:

· Higher education in food technology,



science or related discipline

· 1 - 2years experience developing bakery, confectionery or FMCG products.

· Understanding of product formulation and reformulation skills.

· Experience running factory trials and commercialising products.

· Knowledge of food safety, allergen management and food labelling requirements.

· Experience interpreting material specifications and creating finished product technical information BOMs and ERP systems (Odoo experience is a bonus).

· Excellent project management and organisational skills).

· Your strong task management and organisational skills will help to deliver a product from concept to shelf

· Curiosity, creativity and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
