Emmanuel College is seeking an engaging and passionate Drama Teacher to join our amazing Arts Faculty. The role is Part-time – 3 days per week on a Fixed-term contract (6 October 2026 – 2 December 2027).

About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced secondary Drama educator to inspire students through creative, practical and performance-based learning while contributing to a team-oriented and high-performing Arts faculty.
As a Senior School Drama Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging Drama programs that develop students’ creativity, confidence, critical thinking and collaborative skills.
You will facilitate a range of practical Drama experiences, including performance, improvisation, playbuilding and script work, while supporting students to develop strong conceptual and theatrical skills. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to the broader life of the College through productions, performances and other co-curricular Arts initiatives.
About you
We are looking for a teacher who brings energy,
creativity and a genuine passion for helping young people grow.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration
- Experience teaching Drama in a Senior School setting
- Strong teaching, communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
- The ability to design engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for diverse learners
- A collaborative, flexible and creative approach
- A commitment to supporting student wellbeing and building positive relationships
- An understanding of Christian education and a commitment to incorporating Christian values authentically into College life.
Experience in school productions, directing, performance, stagecraft, lighting, sound or other areas of theatre practice will be highly regarded.
