About the Role

As our Finance Officer, you will support the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions while working closely with staff, creditors and debtors.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be part of the Finance team responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial services that support the delivery of primary health care and programs across Miwatj.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Processing accounts receivable, including invoicing, receipting, debtor management and bank reconciliations.
- Processing accounts payable, including invoices and payments.
- Maintaining accurate and timely AP and AR records.
- Working with staff, creditors and debtors to resolve discrepancies and queries.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, reconciliations and reporting.
- Providing support and relief across the Finance team when required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

- At least one year of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience.
- Experience using computerised finance systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Solid attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.




- The ability to work collaboratively within a cross-cultural team environment.
- An understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination.

Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or working within an organisation delivering primary health care to Aboriginal communities would be highly regarded.

Pre-Employment Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Working with Children Clearance, Northern Territory Driver's Licence, and undergo a Criminal History Check.
