West Coast Roofing & Cladding is looking for a Roof Plumbing Apprentice to join our growing team in Perth.

We're open to someone looking to start their apprenticeship, as well as an existing 1st, 2nd or 3rd-year apprentice looking for a better opportunity.

We're not looking for someone who already knows everything.

We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a robust work ethic and a genuine desire to become very good at their trade.

WHO WE ARE

West Coast Roofing & Cladding specialises in high-end architectural roofing and cladding across Perth and throughout WA.

Our work includes:

- Architectural metal roofing

- Standing seam roofing and wall cladding

- Nailstrip and interlocking cladding

- Custom flashings and fabrication

- High-end residential projects

- Commercial roofing and cladding

- Re-roofs and specialised roofing work

- Occasional regional and remote projects

We're building a company based around craftsmanship, pride and respect.

We care about the details.

And if you're going to learn a trade with us, we'll expect you to eventually care about them too.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

This isn't an apprenticeship where we want you sweeping floors for four years.

You'll obviously start with the basics, but as your skills develop, you'll be taught how to:

- Install metal roofing systems correctly

- Measure, cut and fabricate flashings

- Read plans and understand roof layouts

- Work with architectural roofing and cladding systems





- Install standing seam and other architectural profiles

- Understand waterproofing and correct roofing details

- Use roofing and fabrication equipment properly

- Plan your work instead of simply waiting to be told what to do

- Work safely and efficiently at heights

- Develop the skills required to become a genuinely capable tradesman

You'll work alongside experienced roofers and be exposed to projects where quality and attention to detail actually matter.

Experience isn't the most important thing for this position.

We're looking for someone who:

- Turns up on time

- Wants to work

- Listens and asks questions

- Can take direction

- Takes pride in improving

- Looks after tools and equipment

- Respects clients, their homes and the people they work with

- Doesn't need to be constantly chased

- Can handle physical outdoor work

- Wants to build a career, not just collect a pay cheque

You don't need architectural roofing experience.

We'll teach you.

But we can't teach you to care.
