Business Development Manager – International Education Perth

Salford College is expanding into Western Australia and is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to become a key part of our Perth operation.

For nearly 18 years, Salford College has been part of Australia's international and vocational education sector, educating thousands of students across a diverse portfolio of programs.

We are an established and recognised education provider with an experienced team across admissions, compliance, marketing, academics and student services. We have built long-standing relationships within the international education industry and a brand that is well known across our existing markets.

Now we are taking that experience and capability into Western Australia.

The Opportunity

We are looking for someone who wants more than a conventional BDM position.

The successful person will become one of the key faces of Salford College in Western Australia, with responsibility for developing the market, building relationships, growing student enrolments and helping establish our Perth presence.

The role combines business development, student recruitment, agent engagement and student relationship management, together with being an important on-the-ground presence at our Perth campus.

You won't be doing this alone.

Behind you will be an established Salford team providing support across admissions, compliance, marketing, academic operations and student services. Your focus will be on building the market, developing relationships and creating sustainable growth in Western Australia.

We will give the right person considerable autonomy in how they achieve that.

Who Are We Looking For?





We are less interested in job titles and more interested in what you can actually build.

You may currently work for a college, university, pathway provider, education agency or another organisation within international education.

You are likely to be someone who:

- Knows the international education market and understands how student recruitment really works

- Has strong relationships with education agents, students and/or communities in Western Australia

- Is commercially minded and enjoys developing new business

- Can convert relationships and opportunities into genuine enrolments

- Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership

- Enjoys being out in the market rather than waiting for business to arrive

- Understands that sustainable growth, student outcomes and reputation go together

VET experience would be valuable, but for the right person, market knowledge, relationships, initiative and demonstrated results will matter more.
