Delta Electrical and Engineering Group is an industrial electrical and engineering contractor. We provide breakdown response, maintenance and shift cover to manufacturing, food production and resource recovery sites across South East Queensland.

We have three shift cover roles open now.

Role 1 & 2: Redbank – Automated Facility Breakdown Support

Providing breakdown response on a fully automated production line at a large distribution facility.

Roster options:

- Monday to Friday, 11pm–6am, OR

- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday afternoons, 3pm–11pm

What you'll be doing:

- Fault finding and breakdown response across an automated production line

- Working with proximity sensors, IR beams, position sensors and encoders

- Troubleshooting VFD, servo and stepper motor drives

- Following isolation procedures for all breakdown work

- Completing breakdown reports and inventory management of used parts

Role 3: Hemmant – Permanent Afternoon Shift

Permanent afternoon shift electrician role at an established recycling and resource recovery facility.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm

What you'll be doing:





- Fault finding on shredders and motor starters

- Working in a dusty industrial environment - 3M Versaflow provided

- E-stop safety system knowledge required

- Troubleshooting VFDs across the site

- Supporting the in office fitter with mechanical tasks, this role needs someone mechanically minded, not just electrical

Pay & Conditions

- Base rate: $60–65/hour, depending on experience plus shift loading, allowances and overtime rates after 8 hours

- Afternoon shift loading: 15% on base rate

- Night shift loading: 30% on base rate

- Travel allowance and tool allowance paid on top of base rate

- Paid 30 minute lunch break

- 40 hour week

What You Need

- Current QLD electrical licence

- Industrial fault-finding experience, ideally with PLCs and VFDs

- Comfortable working independently on breakdowns

- Strong isolation procedure discipline

- Reliable, safety-focused, and used to working in an industrial environment
