Community Care Link
Western Sydney & Eastern Sydney, NSW
Independent Contractor | Flexible Availability

About the Opportunity

Community Care Link is seeking Speech Pathologists to join our growing allied health network and provide services to NDIS and aged care clients across Western and Eastern Sydney.

We are looking for clinicians who enjoy working autonomously and want the flexibility to take on clients around their existing skilled and personal commitments.

This is an independent contractor opportunity with no set days or minimum weekly hours. You determine your own availability, preferred service areas and the number of referrals you have capacity to accept.

Whether you are an established sole trader, currently working elsewhere, operating your own practice, or simply looking to build an additional caseload, we can provide referrals that fit around your availability.

How It Works

You tell Community Care Link:

- When you are available

- Whether you would prefer Western Sydney, Eastern Sydney, or both

- The suburbs and areas you are willing to travel to

- The types of clients and referrals you have capacity to accept

Our team will then identify suitable referrals and liaise directly with clients to coordinate appointments around the availability you have provided.

Many of our clients come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, so Community Care Link manages the initial client communication and appointment coordination, allowing you to focus on delivering the clinical service.

About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist contractor, you will provide individualised, evidence-based services to NDIS participants and aged care clients within their homes and community settings.

Depending on your experience and the needs of the clients you accept, services may include:

- Speech, language and communication assessments

- Development and implementation of individualised therapy plans

- Communication and language interventions

- Assessment and support for swallowing and mealtime needs, where within your scope of practice

- Augmentative and Alternative Communication assessments and recommendations

- Capacity-building strategies

- Client, family and carer education

- Preparation of clinical reports, progress notes and recommendations

- Collaboration with families, carers, support coordinators, care managers and other allied health professionals

Why Work With Community Care Link?

Our contractor model is designed to provide flexibility while reducing the administrative work involved in sourcing and coordinating clients.

You will have:

- No set working days

- No minimum weekly hours

- Freedom to determine your own availability

- Ability to accept referrals according to your capacity

- Choice of Western Sydney, Eastern Sydney, or both

- NDIS and aged care client referrals provided by Community Care Link

- Client appointment coordination handled by our team

- Support communicating with culturally and linguistically diverse clients

- Flexibility to work around an existing role, private practice or contractor caseload

- Community-based work rather than a fixed office schedule

About You

We are looking for Speech Pathologists who are professional, client-focused and comfortable providing services autonomously within the community.

You will require:

- A recognised qualification in Speech Pathology

- Current Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility, as applicable to the services being delivered

- Experience or an interest in working with NDIS and/or aged care clients

- Strong assessment, intervention and clinical report-writing skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently within community settings

- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport

- National Police Check

- Working with Children Check, where applicable

- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance

- ABN and ability to invoice for services provided

Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities would be highly regarded.

Service Areas

We are currently particularly interested in Speech Pathologists who can provide services across:

Western Sydney – including Blacktown, Parramatta, Fairfield, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

Eastern Sydney – including the Eastern Suburbs and surrounding areas.

You are not required to service both regions. You can nominate the suburbs and geographical areas that suit you.
