As a Principal Regional Engagement Officer (AO7), you will contribute to better outcomes for Queenslanders, particularly those in rural and regional areas, by helping deliver government priorities and strengthening connections between government and local communities. Based in the Wide Bay Burnett region, you will play a key role in building productive stakeholder relationships and ensuring regional perspectives are understood and considered.
In this role, you will plan, manage and deliver Regional Forums, develop and implement regional engagement plans, identify emerging issues affecting the region, and analyse opportunities and challenges impacting local communities. You will prepare high-quality briefs, submissions, presentations and communication materials, support senior officers at meetings and events, and assist with Ministerial and senior executive visits. You will also promote departmental initiatives and programs to increase awareness and engagement across the region.
Success in this role requires excellent communication and relationship-building skills, sound analytical capability, strong organisational skills and the ability to work across a diverse stakeholder environment. Experience supporting regional or stakeholder engagement activities and knowledge of regional issues will be highly regarded.
