About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of farm operations – caring for birds, maintaining shed routines, supporting your team, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day‑to‑day. From rearing chicks to managing manure systems and supporting packing processes, this is a boots‑on, sleeves‑up kind of job with real impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Checking bird health and ensuring they have access to feed and water
- Managing or assisting with the daily farm routine across multiple sheds
- Leading or supporting a small team, including a 2IC, in a hands‑on environment
- Ensuring vaccination schedules are followed
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment (including using pressure washers)
- Overseeing manure management and assisting with packing operations as needed

Qualifications





- At least 12 months experience working in a similar role in poultry or animal care
- Strong leadership or team coordination experience
- Rearing or broiler experience preferred
- General maintenance and hands‑on problem‑solving skills
- Solid time management and communication skills
- A practical, can‑do attitude and a genuine love for farm life
- A forklift licence – or a willingness to get one
