We are seeking a community‑minded and relationship‑focused Resilient Community Officer to support delivery of the Local People Making Local Solutions – Resilient Community project.
The role will work directly with rural communities to strengthen bushfire preparedness and build community resilience through community‑led planning, engagement and local action.
The position includes building positive relationships with CFA brigades, residents and community groups, facilitating community‑led conversations and connecting communities with agencies and resources that enhance long‑term resilience.
The successful applicant will have experience (paid or volunteer) in community engagement or working with community groups, robust communication skills and the ability to organise work within set timeframes. An understanding of bushfire preparedness or emergency management is desirable.
We welcome people with community experience gained through paid work, volunteering or local involvement. Qualifications in community development or similar fields are helpful but not essential. A Victorian Driver Licence, Police Check and Working with Children Check are required.
