About the Role:

As a female Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their personal goals, increase independence, and enhance their quality of life. You’ll provide person-centred support tailored to each individual's unique needs across a range of settings.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Providing one-on-one support to clients in their homes (e.g., domestic assistance, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and companionship)
- Supporting clients in the community (e.g., transport to appointments, shopping, or social outings)
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as showering, toileting, grooming, and hygiene
- Offering emotional support and companionship, especially for clients with mental health needs
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team (including GPs, OTs, support coordinators, community nurses, social workers, and families)
- Monitoring and reporting on client wellbeing and behavioural changes by completing progress notes within 24 hours of your shift

What We're Looking For

- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disability or mental health conditions
- A compassionate, positive, and people-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Confidence and enthusiasm – bubbly personalities welcome!

Requirements:

- Qualifications in Disability or Mental Health (highly regarded but not essential)




- Experience in mental health or disability support (preferred but not mandatory)
- A current Australian driver's licence and access to a car with comprehensive insurance (essential)
- Availability for 3–4 days a week (including rotating rosters, weekends, overnights, and sleepovers)
- Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Check, First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (3 doses)
- A smartphone with internet access
