About the Role

This is a Full-Time, 2 years fixed-term position within the Support After Sexual Harm Service at The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Parkville. The position is 9am-5pm, 5 days per week. You will be responsible for performing a broad range of administrative and customer focused duties, involving a high level of interaction with children, young people and their families, SASH clinicians and other staff at the RCH. You will be part of a team, responsible for ensuring the effective and effective operation of SASH reception, public facing phone line and appointment booking system including all duties and responsibilities required across these functions. You will provide general administrative support to clinicians, managers and other staff within SASH.

What you’ll achieve:

-
Successfully manage SASH reception desk as per local procedures

- Interact positively with children, young people, families and RCH staff and clinicians.

- Ensure the integrity of SASH data records through the specific tasks of inputting, filing and monitoring

Classification for this position will range from Managers and Administrators Grade 1, Year 1-5 - (AO10-AO12).

Your skills and experience:

-
Previous telephone reception or call centre experience, preferably in the social services or health field.

- Demonstrated experience in using various computer applications and competent in Microsoft Office suite.

- Previous experience working with databases and health record management and booking systems is desirable.

About Support After Sexual Harm (SASH)

Support After Sexual Harm (SASH) at RCH provides therapeutic interventions and support for children/young people and their families, who have experienced sexual violence or engaged in harmful or problematic sexual behaviours. SASH is committed to the following pillars of practice:

SASH is a Member of Sexual Assault Services Victoria (SASVic) and employs a multidisciplinary team of clinicians with specialist skills and qualifications in working with children who have experienced sexual assault and engaged in harmful sexual behaviour and their families. SASH sits within the Allied & Digital Health Directorate at RCH.
