THE ROLE

As a Business Journalist, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, writing, and publishing high-quality content across digital platforms. You'll have the opportunity to develop your own story ideas, conduct interviews with senior professionals, and contribute to the growth of a respected publication.

Key responsibilities include:

- Researching and writing news stories, features, profiles, and analysis
- Monitoring industry, business, and market developments for potential stories
- Identifying trends and emerging issues relevant to readers
- Conducting interviews with senior leaders, experts, and industry stakeholders
- Generating original story ideas and pursuing exclusive angles
- Building and maintaining a network of professional contacts and sources
- Reviewing reports, announcements, and data to uncover newsworthy insights
- Attending conferences, events, and networking opportunities as required
- Producing accurate, balanced, and engaging content to deadline
- Working closely with editors and colleagues to plan and prioritise coverage
- Supporting audience engagement through timely and relevant reporting

- Strong research and fact-checking skills
- Confidence engaging with senior professionals and new contacts

- Experience working in a digital publishing environment will be advantageous
- Familiarity with social media and audience engagement techniques is desirable
