Disability Support Worker – Redlands (QLD)
Work as part of a dedicated team supporting one person to live a meaningful life.
Our Future Focus is seeking a committed Disability Support Worker to join a small, collaborative team supporting a male participant in the Redlands area. This role is ideal for someone who believes disability support should be about building a good life, not simply completing care tasks.
We are looking for someone who rejects the traditional “care model” and instead embraces a developmental approach — supporting the participant to build relationships, pursue interests, develop communication, and experience a life that is engaging, purposeful, and fun.
This role involves working closely with a consistent team and contributing to a thoughtful, well-structured support approach.
About the Role
You will support the participant with daily life while also helping to build skills, confidence, and meaningful participation in the community.
Your work will include:
Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
Supporting alternative and augmentative communication
Working collaboratively with a small, dedicated team
Contributing to a developmental model of support focused on growth, relationships, and meaningful experiences
Supporting daily living activities when required (not the focus of the role)
This role suits someone who is patient, reflective, creative, and motivated to genuinely improve someone’s quality of life.
Roster
This position follows a two-week rotating roster where you will have regular set shifts, as well as offers to fill in for others. We currently need:
Week 1
- Monday: 8:00am – 4:00pm (day shift)
- Tuesday: 4:00pm – 8:00am (sleepover)

- Work well within a team supporting one person
- Are reflective, reliable and emotionally mature
- Enjoy building relationships and creating positive experiences
What We Offer
- Consistent roster and secure hours
