We’re looking for approximately Line Cooks/Chefs to join our team for the 11-day Melbourne Royal Show from Thursday, 24 September to Sunday, 4 October 2026 at YumYum Noodle Market (Dragon Express).

About the Role

You’ll work in a fast-paced food stall environment, supporting the kitchen team with cooking, food preparation and service during one of Melbourne’s largest annual events.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking menu items
- Assisting with food preparation and stock organisation
- Maintaining speed, quality and consistency during busy service periods
- Following food safety and hygiene standards
- Working efficiently in a high-volume show environment

Requirements





- Previous kitchen or food-service experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
- Reliable and available throughout the show period

What We’re Looking For

This hands-on role is suited to people who thrive in a busy, energetic environment and can maintain robust quality, efficiency and attention to detail during peak service periods.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
