About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative / Business Development Manager to take ownership of an established NSW territory covering the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter Region and Mid North Coast.

This prospect is ideally suited to an experienced sales professional who is based on or around the Central Coast and has a strong background selling within the building supplies, timber, construction, hardware or trade sector.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for growing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities and building long-term relationships with builders, contractors, trade customers and construction-related businesses throughout the region.

This is a highly autonomous, field-based position for someone who enjoys being on the road, developing relationships and growing a territory.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage and grow an established sales territory across the Central Coast, Newcastle, Hunter and Mid North Coast
- Develop strong relationships with builders, contractors, trade customers and construction businesses
- Identify and secure current business opportunities throughout the region
- Maintain, develop and grow existing customer accounts
- Conduct regular customer visits, site meetings and account reviews
- Prospect for new customers and develop a strong sales pipeline
- Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities
- Negotiate pricing and close new business
- Provide a high level of ongoing customer service and account support
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are delivered effectively
- Achieve sales targets and drive ongoing territory growth

About You

We are looking for an experienced sales professional who understands the building and construction market and is confident developing business through strong relationships.

You will ideally have:

- Proven external sales or business development experience
- Experience within building supplies, timber, construction products, hardware, trade supplies or a closely related industry
- Existing knowledge of the Central Coast,



Newcastle, Hunter or regional NSW market
- Robust relationships within the building, construction or trade sector highly regarded
- A demonstrated ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- A proactive and results-focused approach to sales
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage a large geographical territory
- Strong organisation, planning and follow-up skills
- A current Australian driver's licence

Work Environment

This is primarily a field-based role, with regular travel throughout the:

- Central Coast
- Newcastle
- Hunter Region
- Mid North Coast

You will have flexibility to work from home when not visiting customers, with occasional travel required to the company's Wetherill Park head office.
